SPECIAL SECTION
A variety of fashion graced the 10th Anniversary of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Virginia Awards Gala held at the Richmond Marriott on June 16th. Ernst & Young and their sponsors honored 30 entrepreneurs representing 15 Virginia based companies for their leadership; financial performance and growth; innovation; and commitment to their business, employees and local community. From this field of participants, a distinguished panel of independent judges chose winners in six categories. In the signature style of the Academy Awards, various presenters opened sealed envelopes on stage to announce this year’s winners. Two special recognition awards were also presented to the leaders of Advance Auto Parts and Luck Stone Corporation. Local news anchor, Stephanie Rochon of CBS 6, emceed the program.
The Virginia award recipients will compete in the upcoming Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2005 national awards.
